How do I set up a MeterPay Auto-Recharge?
- First Add a new card as a payment source If you don't already have the card you wish to use stored on your MeterPay user account.
- Then create a new Auto-Recharge.
To add a new card as a payment source:
Logged into your MeterPay Account portal navigate to the Payment Sources page:- You will find the link to your user “Payment Sources” page under the “User” menu located towards the top right-hand side of the MeterPay Portal page.
- On the Payment Sources page click the blue "Add Card Source" button towards the bottom right of the page.
- Enter the information for the card you want to add to MeterPay:
- The 16 digit card number.
- The cards expiry date.
- The CVC number (the last 3 digits from the back of the card).
- The post code for the address the card is registered to (this option will appear once the card number has been entered).
- The name as printed on the card.
- Once you have checked the information entered is accurate, click the check box confirming you are the card holder and the blue "Confirm Card Details" button will appear.
- Click the blue "Confirm Card Details" button to complete adding your new card details.
Creating a new Auto-Recharge
Once you have the card you want to use stored on MeterPay, you can set up an Auto-Recharge for your meter as follows:- Navigate to your My Recharge page for your meter. You will find the link to your user “My Recharge” page under the “Consumer” menu located towards the top right-hand side of the MeterPay Portal page.
- Click the "Setup Recharge" button towards the left of the page.
- Enter the details for your new auto-recharge:
- Postcode, Name and serial number of meter the auto-recharge is being set up for.
- Select the card you want the new auto-recharge to use.
- Select the point you want the recharge to take place.
- This is the level of credit your meter needs to drop below to trigger the auto recharge
- Select the amount of credit the recharge will add to the meter.
- This is the amount of credit the auto recharge will add to your meter.
- Once you have checked the information entered is accurate, click the check box confirming you are the card holder and the blue "Setup Recharge" button will appear.
- Click the blue "Setup Recharge" button to complete setting up your new Auto-Recharge.
N.B.B Please note that it is your responsibility as a consumer to remove any Auto-Recharges for a property you are vacating.
